9-hole Public Course Located in Sutton

Fox Hollow Golf Course is a 9-hole public course located in Sutton, NE. The course was orchestrated in the early 1990’s by the City of Sutton and the Sutton CRA and is now independently owned and operated by the stockholders. Fox Hollow is enjoyable for all golfers at any age or skill level.

In 1994, during a stint of tornadoes and flooding in the City of Sutton, a great opportunity arose to create a new golf course in the community and provide additional flood protection to the citizens. The traditional links course was designed by Dean Glorso of the International Golf Course Design. Located 70 miles west of Lincoln and 30 miles east of Hastings, the course is conveniently located for a quick round during the week or for a golf outing with your friends and family on the weekend.

Fox Hollow stretches across valleys, ridges, and mild slopes on the east side of Sutton. It is named for the population of native foxes that roam the area. The course has character, being defined by trees, ponds and some mild elevation changes. The 5th tee is the highest point on the course with a grand view. Three holes are noted for their challenge. The 8th is one of the few 600 yard par 5’s in the state. A pond gives the 9th some teeth. The 1st can be tough if you decide to cut the corner on the dogleg. A new pond was also added on the west side of #3 Fairway. Trees, hills, and out of bounds await a less than perfect effort.
